If you live with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis, then you know that even a small patch of psoriasis can have a BIG impact on your quality of life.

  • Red, scaly, dry, cracked skin that may get worse in the winter or under stress may be just a few of the things you need to manage when you have psoriasis.
  • When you have psoriasis, the life cycle of your skin cells speeds up, leading to a buildup of dead cells on the surface of your skin. The dead cells appear as red patches with silvery scales.
  • Only about 2 to 3 percent of the population develops psoriasis.1 Researchers believe that for someone to develop psoriasis, he or she must have a combination of the genes that cause psoriasis and exposure to certain external factors called “triggers” such as stress, exposure to certain medications, infection or trauma to the skin.1
  • Psoriasis can put you at risk for other chronic and serious health conditions called co-morbidities”. In addition to depression, those with more severe psoriasis are at greater risk for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease among other serious conditions.

Better treatment options are needed for people with plaque psoriasis, and you can help advance medical research by participating in research studies for psoriasis.

Take the next step to see if you qualify for local research studies for people with Psoriasis.   But don’t delay — space is limited!

* In a clinical trial, the participants may receive investigational product or may receive an inactive substance, or placebo, depending on the design of the clinical trial. Participants receive clinical trial related care and medical advice for the duration of the trial. Reasonable compensation will be made for travel and the length of the trial may vary.
